However, the Nomai never succeeded in triggering the supernova; the supernova the player experiences is caused by the natural end of the sun's life, not the Sun Station. The time loop is a consequence of the Ash Twin Project activating when the supernova occurs, not the cause of the supernova. This knowledge remains preserved in the dark waters.
